Harold Chatagnier
Harold Chatagnier, 86, a native and resident of Houma, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery No. 2.
He is survived by two daughters, Paula Deroche and Bonnie Theriot; three grandchildren, Rachell Gautreaux and husband, Bo, Brittany Pijor and husband, Dustin, and Jared Theriot, three great-grandchildren; one sister, Joyce Schexnayder; two stepdaughters, Paulette Debose and Judy Benoit of Alabama; nieces and nephews; and a lifelong friend, Oddie Hebert.
He was preceded in death by his wife, LaVerne Chatagnier; two brothers, Gerald and Francis Chatagnier; and parents, William and Olive Chatagnier.
He was a retired barber who owned Hebert's Barber Shop. He was a veteran of World War II and a parishioner of St. Francis De Sales Cathedral.
