Harold McEachern Duggins

CARROLL COUNTY -- Services for Harold M. Duggins of Carroll County were at 4 p.m. Sunday at Valley Hill Methodist Church in Carroll County.

Mr. Duggins, 70, died Friday, April 18, 2008, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital.

He was born in Greenwood on Jan. 4, 1938 to Lee and Mary Ellen (Mims) Duggins, and he resided in the Carroll County area all of his life. He was a member of Valley Hill Methodist Church. He was formerly employed by Barrentine Manufacturing, Medart Inc. and National Picture and Frame Co. He loved the outdoors and was a lifelong coon hunter.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Mary Morgan Duggins of Carroll County; a daughter, Jo Ann Chatham of Carroll County, and her husband, Doug; three sisters, Lomie Jones and Charlotte Turner, both of Greenwood, and Bessie Strickland of Columbia, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Shane Chatham, Savannah Chatham and Sheyenne Chatham, all of Carroll County; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation was from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Williams & Lord Funeral Home and at 3 p.m. Sunday at Valley Hill Methodist Church.

The Rev. Glenn Seefeld officiated at the services.

Pallbearers were Jimmy Morgan, Kenneth Mims, Jimmy Mims, Johnny Mims, Jamey Mims, Bobby Miller and Kenny Mims.

Burial was in the Valley Hill Methodist Cemetery.
