Harold G. Griffin

Services for Harold G. Griffin will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 14, 2006 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville with Reverend Greg Griffin officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Mr. Griffin, 74, of Alexandria, died Monday, September 11, 2006 at his home.

He was employed by Civil Service as a motor vehicle operator for 34 years. He worked in security at Rapides Regional Medical Center for 10 years and as a Rapides Parish Sheriff Reserve Deputy for 15 years. Mr. Griffin also served with the Louisiana National Guard for 37 years.

Preceded in death by parents, Oliver H. and Willie L. Mosley Griffin, his brother, Charles Griffin and a very special aunt, Maude L. Mosley.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 53 years, Jessie L. Griffin, three sons, Steve Griffin of Shreveport, Darryl Griffin of Alexandria and Kenneth Griffin of Alexandria, one daughter, Cathy Dunn of Effie. Seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Basco, Dana Pelkey, Chris Griffin, Randy Griffin, Dale Robertson and Matt Juneau.

Friends may call Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at Hixson Brothers, Pineville from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until service time.

The family would like to thank Dr. Slatkin and Nursing Staff of Hospice Care of Louisiana for their compassionate and professional care during this time.
