SPENCE SR., HAROLD MCKINLEY

Died 8 a.m. Monday, Oct. 3, 1988, at his residence in Denham Springs. He was 66, and a native of Denham Springs. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Visiting at House of Prayer, Walker, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. James Cobb. Burial in Salem Cemetery.

Survived by wife, Eva Terrell Spence, Denham Springs; seven daughters, Eva Collins, Hooks, Texas, Margie Smith, Texarkana, Ark., Linda Carnley, Atlanta,Texas, Dale Cobb, Pat Turbeville and Emma Morgan, all of Walker, and Carolyn Ballard, Denham Springs; two sons, Harold Spence Jr., Woodbridge, Va., and Elvis Spence, Watson; a half-sister, Ada Mae ONeal, Baker; a brother, Benny Sylvester Spence Jr., Toledo Bend; 31 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceded in death by parents, Benny Spence Sr. and Emma ONeal; a son, Glenn Ray Spence; and a sister, Louella Spence. Pallbearers will be Kenny, Roger and Randy Graham, John Cobb III, Lee Turbeville and Darryl Bunch. Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, in charge of arrangements.
