Mrs. Wardlaw Rites Set At Hale Center
PLAINVIEW, Dec. 30 (Special) -- Funeral services for Mrs. Roy E. Wardlaw, 55, who died Wednesday night in her home near Hale Center, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the Hale Center Church of Christ, with Bill Brown, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park, under the direction of Lemons Funeral Home here.
Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Hammitt, Stephenville; two sons, William L. and Bobby Wardlaw, both of Hale Center; two brothers, Sam Applewhite, Boyd, and C. D. Applewhite, Hale Center, and three grandchildren.
Mrs. Wardlaw, who had lived near Hale Center for 37 years, was born April 4, 1999, at Boyd, and moved to Hale Center in 1917. She was married to Roy E. Wardlaw on Dec. 20, 1920.
