Funeral services for Harris Dewey Butler Sr., 72, of 4236 Clingman Drive will be held today at 10 a.m. in the chapel of the First National Funeral Home.
The Rev. Frank M. Beauchamp, pastor of First Southern Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial with Masonic graveside rites will be in Grayson at 3 p.m. at the Welcome Home Cemetery.
Mr. Butler died Monday at his residence following an extended illness. He had been a resident of Shreveport since 1919 and retired as a teller with the First National Bank after 43 years service.
He was a native of Wesson, Ark. He was member of Broadmoor Masonic Lodge F&AM and a past president of Four Square Bible Class.
Survivors include his widow; one son, Harris Dewey Butler Jr., of Houston, Tex.; a brother, D. Louie Butler of Vivian; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be W. R. Britt, John Whalen, W. M. Sutton, Compton Barbee, Herman Anders and Henry Smith.
