2-Car Crash Claims Life Of State Man

VIVIAN, La., July 11 (AP) -- One man was killed in a two-car collision about one mile south of here today.

State trouper J. H. Webb identified him as Harry J. Benroth, 45, Vivian, employe of the Stanolind Oil and Gas Company at its Superior refinery near here.

Benroth was a passenger in an auto driven by Burton Norris, 32. Norris and his seven-year-old son, John Robert Norris, were unhurt.

The driver of the other car was Jules Fogel of Shreveport, publisher of the Caddo Citizen, a local weekly.

Funeral services for Benroth will be held tomorrow. He is survived by his wife and one sister, Mrs. Cy Thomas of New Orleans.
