H. M. ‘Jack’ Wood
Funeral services for H.M. “Jack” Wood, 83, of Winnsboro were held Monday at Community
Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bruce Cardin and the Rev. Paul Kolb officiating.
Interment and Masonic services followed at Ogden Cemetery near Liddieville under the direction
of Community Memorial Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
Mr. Wood died Saturday, May 28, 1994 at Franklin Medical Center after an extended illness. He was
a resident of Winnsboro, a retired farmer, a member of Boeuf River Baptist Church and New Hope Lodge.
He was preceded in death by a son, John Wood.
Survivors include his wife, Edna Wood, Winnsboro; three daughters and sons-in-law, Ann and Delmus Hodge,
St. Francisville; Mae and Eugene Givens, West Monroe, Debbie and Jerry Carrington (sic Curington),
Winnsboro; two sons and three daughters-in-law, Charles and Peggy Wood, Ferriday; Bobby and Bobbie Wood,
Winnsboro; and Debbie Wood, Winnsboro; also 16 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Larry Don Brown, Danny Price, Kim Wilson, Jerry Cassey, Jackie Muckelrath and Mac Wallace.
