Harvey McQueen Dies; Rites Friday
SWEETWATER (RNS) -- Harvey L. McQueen, 41, local welder, died at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Big Spring Veterans Hospital after a short illness.
Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Patterson Chapel of Memories here. Burial will be in Sweetwater Cemetery.
Mr. McQueen was born March 8, 1915 in Rotan and had lived in Sweetwater for 25 years. He married Earlene Grayson here in 1938. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jerry Lee of Redwood City, Calif., and Jimmy Wayne of Sweetwater; a daughter, Debbie Sue McQueen of Sweetwater; four brothers, Jack of Fort Worth, John of McGregor, Otis of Bellville, and Jeff of Brownfield; one half-brother, Edgar McQueen of Odessa; and five half-sisters.
