Funeral services for Harvey W. Emmons, 50, of Calvert were held at 2 p.m. today in the First Baptist Church in Calvert, Rev. Joe Weldon Bailey officiating. Burial will be in the Sunnyside Cemetery in Calvert with arrangements by the Hodges Funeral Home of Hearne.
Mr. Emmons died Wednesday in a Dallas Hospital.
He was born Oct. 8, 1923 in Cameron and was employed as a plant supervisor by Dresser Industries. He also served in the Air Force during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Evelyn Emmons of Calvert; two sons, Johnny Emmons of New Caney and Michael Anglin Emmons of Pasadena; one daughter, Cheryl Emmons of Denver, Colo.; three brothers, J.T. Robinson of Houston, James Robinson of Smyer and Emmet Robinson of Sommerville; three sisters, Mrs. Francis Simolton of Rockdale, Mrs. Elisabeth Neinan of Houston and Mrs. Kathleen Myers of Somerville; his mother, Mrs. Bertha Braley of Palestine; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers include J.T. Robinson, James Robinson, Emmet Robinson, Leon Simolton, Lee Neinan, Donald Mears and Eddie Blackburn.
