Attack Is Fatal To H. W. McCarty
Harvey W. McCarty, 56, 2730 Essex St., died en route to the P & S Hospital yesterday following a heart attack at 2 p.m. Mr. McCarty suffered the attack while at work.
He was a resident here for 35 years, and was a salesman for the Louisiana Paper Co. A member of the First Baptist Church, he was a native of Sikes.
Services under direction of Wellman Funeral Home are pending.
Mr. McCarty is survived by his widow; a son, Robert H. McCarty, U.S. Air Force, Greenland; a daughter, Mrs. Betty Veen, Shreveport; his mother, Mrs. Emma McCarty of Winnfield; one brother, Horace McCarty of Shreveport; two sisters, Mrs. O. N. Simmons and Mrs. C. C. Lawrence, both of Winnfield, and one grandson.

Services for Harvey W. McCarty, 56, 2730 Essex St., Shreveport resident for 35 years, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Wellman's Chapel. Officiating will be Dr. James W. Middleton, pastor of First Baptist Church.
Burial will be in Forest Park.
Mr. McCarty, a native of Sikes, died Friday en route to the P & S Hospital following a heart attack while at work for the Louisiana Paper Co.
Pallbearers will be James King, J. C. Hughes, Otis Guy, Harold M. Downs, Paul James, S. J. Willia, Leon Bogue and Dwight M. Brown.

H. W. McCarty, Native of Winn, Claimed By Death
Harvey W. McCarty, 56, native of Winn, died in a Shreveport on March 10,
following a heart attack while at work. He was an employee of Louisiana Paper
Company and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Shreveport.
Mr. McCarty is survived by his widow; a son, Robert H. McCarty, U. S. Air
Force, Greenland; a daughter, Mrs. Betty Veen, Shreveport; his mother, Mrs.
