Weeks

GREENVILLE -- Funeral services for Hassel Eugene Weeks, 77, of Greenville, a retired towboat engineer, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Boone-Wells Funeral Home, Greenville. He died April 30, 2005, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Greenville.

He was a native of Stewart, Miss., where he received his education. He was an engineer on towboats for over 30 years before he retired in 1994. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Pearline Peeples Weeks of Greenville; a son, Randy Weeks of Robertsville, Ala.; three stepdaughters, Brenda McDill and Barbara Joyce Pambianchi, both of Heber Springs, Ark., and Mary Catherine Moore of Greenville; four stepsons, Curtis Burns and Johnny Burns, both of Greenville, Danny Burns of St. Paul, Minn., and Benny Jarnigan of Houston, Texas; three sisters, Frances McDonald of Winona, Lillian Phillips of Cartersville, Ga., and Margie Christy of Jackson; three brothers, Kenneth Weeks of Gainesville, Ga., and Dara Joe Weeks and Jim Weeks, both of Vicksburg; 25 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from noon to 2 p.m. at Boone Wells Funeral Home, Greenville.
