Hattie M. Darby

BRIDGE CITY -- Services for Hattie M. Darby, 90, of Bridge City will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church in Bridge City with the Rev. Charles D. Walton officiating. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Glenmora, La. Visitation will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.

She died Thursday at her home. She was born in Ruby, La., and was a longtime resident of Bridge City. She was a retired elementary school teacher and was a member of First Baptist Church and the Women's Missionary Union.

Survivors include a daughter, Judith Ann Byler of Jackson, Tenn.; a son, Earl Darby of Bridge City; four sisters, Carmen Mayer and Louise Dell, both of Port Arthur, Florence Amy of Crowley, La.; and Mildred Lee of Pineville, La.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
