HATTIE SUE TAUNTON

ALEXANDER CITY -- Funeral service for Hattie Sue Taunton, 75, was Monday, Feb. 14, at 2 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. David Rozelle and the Rev. Mark Peoples officiating. Burial was in Ephesus Cemetery.

Mrs. Taunton died Feb. 12 at Russell Medical Center. She was born April 27, 1929 in Tallapoosa County to Jessie Vernon Foshee and Hattie Mae Lett Foshee. She enjoyed to cook and was a member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church. She was retired from Russell Corporation with 30 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Russell Foshee and Homer Lee Foshee; and sister, Eloise Bramblett.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Charles W. Taunton of Alexander City; son, Michael Charles Taunton of Alexander City; daughters, Susan Chambers, Joan Denney and Carolyn Milner of Alexander City and Dana Taunton of Sylacauga; brothers, Curtis Faulkner of Yakaima, Wash., and Kenneth Faulkner of Caoursegold, Calif.; sisters, Frances East, Mavis Phillips, Corene Wright and Agnes Allen of Alexander City; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
