Mr. Hayward Watkins
Funeral services for Mr. Hayward R. Watkins, 81, were held at 10 A.M., Thursday, December 24, 1992, from the Ott & Lee Chapel in Forest. Rev. Lee Dolloff officiated. Interment was made in the Kalem United Methodist Cemetery in Morton, MS.
Mr. Watkins passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 1992, at the Lackey Memorial Hospital in Forest following a sudden illness. A former residence [sic resident] of Union, he had lived in Morton since 1967.
Survivors include four daughers, Mildred Killen of Vicksburg, Peggy Shannon Watkins of New Orleans, LA, Pauline Pharr of Flora, and Mary Jane Chaney of Little Rock; three sons, James Harold Watkins of Vicksburg, Mike Juniors Watkins of Morton, and Sam Watkins of Pelahatchie; four sisters, Nettie Ford, Miss Loca Watkins, and Gertie Foy, all of Vicksburg, and Alma Friar of Madden; three brothers, Grady Watkins of Vicksburg, Cliff Watkins and Malcohmn [sic Malcolm] Watkins, both of Philadelphia; six grandchildren, three great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Tip Sanderford, Neal King, Darren Estes, Michael Killen, Ricky Watkins, and Glenn Watkins.
Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest was in charge of arrangements.
