SMITH, HAZEL MCCARTY

Died at 5:25 a.m. Saturday, April 10, 1999, at The Retirement Center. She was 78 and a native of Sicily Island.

Visiting was at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Visiting at Pine Hill Baptist Church, Sicily Island, 10 a.m. until religious services at noon Monday. Interment in church cemetery.

Survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Sonya and Lawrence Womack, Baton Rouge; a brother, Robert Leo McCarty Jr., Wisner; four grandchildren, J. Scott Womack, Donald Braud Jr., Darla Braud Bourgeois and Daryn Braud Scott; and five great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by husband, Wilford L. Smith; and two daughters, Peggy J. Smith and Connie Smith Braud.
