MARIE WALLEY STUDDARD

MARIE WALLEY STUDDARD, 80, passed away peacefully in her sleep in her son's home Saturday January 8, 2000. Marie retired as a civilian employee for the United States Air Force where she received numerous awards and commendations for outstanding service throughout her 35 year career.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband John D. Studdard, II in 1984 and her daughter Billye Anne Studdard in 1953.

Survivors include one son, John D. Studdard, III and wife Lorrie Ashkins Studdard, Two sisters, Margaret Smith, of Laurel, Mississippi and Merle Rutledge, of Thomasville, Georgia; one Brother, Dan Walley, of Laurel, Mississippi; two granddaughters, Melissa Studdard Williamson and husband Eric Miles Williamson and Kelly Studdard Carlson and husband Chris Carlson; and one great-granddaughter, Rosalind Jane Williamson, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Marie was greatly beloved by family and friends and will be missed. Graveside services will be held at Pine Crest Cemetery Mobile, Alabama at a later date.
