Hazel Hemperley

WINNFIELD -- Services for Hazel Payne Hemperley will be at 3 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church with the Revs. Michael McLaurin, Marion Puryear and Charles P. Strong officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery near Dodson under direction of Southern.

Mrs. Hemperley, 78, of Winnfield died at 6:10 a.m. Sunday in Humana Hospital.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church and a lifetime member of United Methodist Women.

Survivors include one son, Chester B. Hemperley of Winnfield; one daughter, Marilyn Hughes of Winnfield; one brother, the Rev. J.O. Payne of Jonesboro; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 8 a.m. until shortly before time of services today in the funeral home.
