Helen McCurley

GLOSTER -- Services for Helen B. McCurley, 91, of Crosby, who died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007, at Field Memorial Hospital, in Centreville, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mount Carmel Methodist Church with the Revs. Howard Killingsworth and Gilbert White officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Brown Funeral Home in Gloster.

Visitation will be from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church.

Mrs. McCurley was born Jan. 20, 1916, in Florida, the daughter of Edward Baxter and Lottie Whittington Baxter. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Frank James McCurley Sr. and daughter, Lottie Lynn Whittington.

Survivors include her daughters, Mildred White of Jackson, Dianne McBeth and Patricia McCurley, both of Crosby; sons, Frank J. McCurley Jr. of Anchorage, Alaska and A. Govan McCurley of North Little Rock, Ark.; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
