Helen Doering

GRIDLEY (E-R) -- Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the Gridley-Biggs Cemetery for Helen C. Doering, 60, of Gridley.

She died Tuesday at an Oroville hospital, after a long illness.

She was born Jan. 1, 1921, in Bountiful, Utah.

She moved to Gridley in 1926, and had worked for the Libbey Co. cannery as a lab supervisor for 32 years, until her retirement.

She was a member of the Gridley Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She is survived by her husband, Riny, of Gridley; three daughters, Dianna Jolley and Shirley Hansen, both of Orem, Utah, and Barbara Mumford of Santa Monica; two brothers, Lester and Max Call of Hirum, Utah; a sister, Carma Pryde of Sacramento, and seven grandchildren.

Bishop Jerry Henry of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will preside at the services.

Donations may be made to the American Heart Association.

Arrangements were made by the Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel.
