Jean S. Folley

February 26, 1917 - November 3, 2006

Jean S. Folley, age 89, of Temple formerly of Mart died Friday, November 3, 2006 in a Temple retirement center. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 5, at Mart Cemetery with Rev. Lynn Starnes officiating.

Mrs. Folley was born February 26, 1917 in Thornton, Texas to George Curtis and Cecil Lillian Wilson Sowers. She was reared and educated in Waxahachie. She graduated from Waxahachie High School where she was a cheerleader. She attended Trinity University in Waxahachie. She was a longtime resident of Mart. She married E. K. Folley in November, 1938. He preceded her in death January 28, 1969. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Mart.

Survivors include a son, Bud Folley and wife, Kathy of Round Rock and a daughter, Cecile McKenzie and husband, Mike of Kerrville, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
