Died Friday, August 17, 1984, at Veterans Administration Medical Center, New Orleans. She was 56, a native of Olla and resident of Baton Rouge. She was a realtor and property manager, and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

Visiting at Hollabaugh-Spindle Woodale Memorial Chapel, 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday, and 8 a.m. to religious services, 10 a.m. Monday, conducted by the Rev. Brady Forman. Burial in Masonic Cemetery, Clinton.

Survived by husband, Excie Bannister, Baton Rouge; a daughter, Nonnie Louise Smith, Baton Rouge; a step-daughter, Carol Michelle Bannister, Baton Rouge; five sons, Thomas Richard, William David, Charles Daniel, George DeVann and Christopher Dale Smith, all of Baton Rouge; four sisters, Mrs. Alice Thomason, Ashland, Ky., Mrs. Tommie Plovanich and Mrs. Elizabeth Smith, both of Clinton, and Elsie Zachary, Baton Rouge; four daughters-in-law; five grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by mother, Bertha Treen Mott; father, Thomas Jacob Mott.

Pallbearers will be Richard, David, Dale and George Smith, Darryl and Stephen Zachary.

She was a member of Zoar Baptist Church, Alexander Sterling chapter DAR and Red Stick chapter of WAVES. She was a former member of National Association of Realtors and Baton Rouge Board of Realtors.
