Helen Mae ANDERS MCCOY

Helen Mae ANDERS MCCOY of Yellville, Arkansas died Wednesday, August 27, 2003 at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She was 81.

Mrs. MCCOY was born August 16, 1922 at Macon Lake, Arkansas the daughter of Frank O'Connor and Nellie Maude ROWLAND ANDERS. On June 17, 1946, she married Mr. MCCOY. Mrs. MCCOY was a retired school teacher who spent approximately 34 years in the teaching field. She taught home economics at Yellville-Summit for 28 years, Tyronza for four years and Amorel for two years. She was a member of the Arkansas Retired Teacher's Association and the Yellville First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, of Yellville, AR; son of Yellville, AR; a daughter of Kerryville, Texas; a brother of Mountain Home, AR; and a grandson of Los Angeles, CA. Her parents, Frank O'Connor and Nellie Maude ANDERS; sister, Margaret HARRIS; and brothers Rodney, Rowland and Herman ANDERS, preceded her in death.

Visitation was held Friday, August 29, 2003 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home in Yellville. Funeral services were held Saturday, August 30, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Yellville, Arkansas. Burial followed in Layton Cemetery in Yellville, Arkansas with pallbearers and honorary pallbearers.
