Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Schaeffer Seemann, 89, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00AM Saturday, August 26, 2006 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Monroe, LA with Rev. Paul Mayerhoff officiating. Interment will follow at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun, LA under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
Mrs. Seemann was born on August 16, 1917 in Caldwell Parish and passed away on August 24, 2006 at the Arbor House in West Monroe, LA. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Monroe, LA, where she was a member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League.
Mrs. Seemann was retired from Manville, where she worked as an Employee Service Supervisor in the Insurance Department. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Mrs. Seemann is preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Reed Schaeffer and Louis N.A. Seemann; her parents, Leola and Jesse Willis and her brother, Claymon Willis.
Survivors include her four sons, John W. Schaeffer and wife Connie of Magnolia, TX, Jesse M. Schaeffer and wife Linda of Crockett, TX, George H. Schaeffer and wife Stephanie of West Monroe, LA and Charles L. Schaeffer and wife Linda of Alvin, TX; nine grandchildren, Ben Schaeffer and wife Kelly of Crockett, TX, Becky Smith and husband Terry of Austin, TX, George Schaeffer, Jr. of Monroe, LA, Mark Schaeffer and wife Leslie of Kingwood, TX, Kristen Betts and husband Andrew of Sugarland, TX, Thad Schaeffer of West Monroe, LA, Adam Schaeffer of Austin, TX, Elizabeth Minter and husband Tad of Magnolia, TX and Taylor Schaeffer of Austin, TX; ten great grandchildren, Natalie Schaeffer, Benjamin Schaeffer, Matthew Schaeffer, Madison Schaeffer, Ashleigh Smith, Amanda Smith, Alissa Smith, Nathan Smith, Kyle Schaeffer and Tanner Schaeffer; nieces, Dena Kashnir and husband Terry and Judy Credeur and husband Rodney and nephew, Clay Willis and wife Kathy.
Pallbearers will be Grandsons and Nephews.
Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Lutheran Women' Missionary League
Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 7:00PM Friday at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Monroe, LA.
