SEGRIST -- Mrs. Henrietta Prichard Segrist, 95, died at the residence of her son, C. P. Segrist, 1716 Marye street, at 9 a.m. Friday, Oct. 15, 1948. She was the last of four generations, one of thirteen children of Senator William Prichard, and Elizabeth Hawthorn Pritchard [sic Prichard]. She was the wife of the late J. C. Segrist, newspaperman, planter, and merchant of Harrisonburg, La., who died in 1930, and the sister of the late Drs. C. C. and H. W. A. Segrist [sic Prichard], both of Harrisonburg.

She is survived by one son, C. P. Segrist, one daughter, Mrs. Louise S. McCondille [sic McConville] of Alexandria, two grandsons, Col. C. C. Segrist of New York City, and S. S. Segrist of Washington, D.C., two great-grandchildren, and a number of nephews and nieces.

The funeral service was held at 10:05 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 17, 1948, in the Hixson Bros. chapel. Interment was in the family cemetery in Harrisonburg, La., at 2 p.m. Sunday.
