Henry B. McCarty

Graveside services for Henry B. McCarty, 88, of West Monroe were held Monday at Myrtle Memorial Cemetery in Winnsboro with Bro. Eric Day officiating.

Mr. McCarty was born Nov. 7, 1914 in Winnfield and died Saturday, July 5, 2003 at his residence. He was retired from Continental Carbon in Sulphur in 1977. Upon his retirement he moved to Winnsboro where he enjoyed working in his vegetable garden until he moved to West Monroe in 1999. He was preceded in death by a son, Gerald N. McCarty.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Eunice W. McCarty, West Monroe; son, Garland E. McCarty, West Monroe, and five grandchildren.
