Dr. H. C. Sanders Funeral Services Monday Sept. 16

Was ``Country Doctor'' Who Devoted His Life To Community

Dr. H. C. Sanders, 66 years, 7 months, and 11 days, died at his home in Curry Community Sunday following a stroke of paralysis a week before. Funeral services were conducted Monday at Magnolia with the Rev. J. H. Lewis, Baptist minister, in charge. School was dismissed and practically the entire community attended the last rites to pay their respects to Dr. Sanders who was known as a "country doctor" who had devoted his life to the people of his community. He attended the people until he became hill.

Mr. Sanders was born and lived his entire life in Ward Two. He was a devoted Baptist and a member of the Chas. F. Buck Lodge No. 260, Masons, which organization had charge of the services at the grave.

In early manhood he was married to Miss Lou Tullos. She preceded him in death thirty years ago. Surviving are two sons, and one daughter, D. B. and D. C. Sanders, Tullos, and Mrs. O. E. Harper, Winnfield, route two, and one sister, Mrs. P. A. Spears.
