Henry Hawthorne
JONESVILLE -- Funeral services were at 10 a.m. today at Emmanuel Baptist Church at Wildsville for Henry Curtis Hawthorne, 84, of Jonesville.
The Rev. Lloyd Trissler [sic Trisler] officiated with burial at Jena Cemetery under direction of Comer Funeral Home of Ferriday.
Mr. Hawthorne died Sunday at Heritage Nursing Home in Ferriday after a long illness.
He was a long-time resident of Catahoula Parish and was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church at Wildsville.
Survivors include one son, Alfred Hawthorne of Waco, Tex.; three daughters, Mrs. Odessa Trissler [sic Trisler] of Mayna, Mrs. Callie Gragg [sic Gregg] of Opelousas, and Mrs. Marie Boyce of La Jolla, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Doshia LaCroix of Wildsville; four brothers, Homer Hawthorne, Charlie Hawthorne, both of Parhams, Grady Hawthorne of Memphis, Tenn., Aubrey Hawthorne of Springhill; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Gary Wiley, Wilbert Trissler [sic Trisler], Marvin Trissler [sic Trisler], Thomas Wiley, Roger Wiley, and Carey Trissler [sic Trisler].
