Body of Rapidian Found at Iatt Lake

(Special to The Town Talk)

COLFAX, La. -- The body of Henry Huthnance, 75, of Woodworth, a native of Colfax, was found at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday south of White Oak's boat landing in Iatt Lake near here.

He was a retired employe of the Louisiana Forestry Commission.

According to Dr. Webb Smith, coroner, Huthnance apparently suffered a heart attack and fell out of his boat while working on his duck blind Sunday afternoon. His body was found floating beside the boat. He had been missing Sunday afternoon after going to his camp at the lake. He had not been heard from since.

The Grant Parish Sheriff's Dept. was alerted Wednesday afternoon to check the camp and found his truck parked there but his boat missing. On searching the lake the body was discovered.

The body is at Hixson Bros. Funeral Home. Arrangements are incomplete.
