H. L. Rolen

Funeral services for H. L. Rolen, 81, of Route 1, Columbia, who died Dec. 5, at 1:15 am at Littieville [sic Liddieville] La., were held at the New Hope church near Dodson at 12 o'clock Dec. 6 with the Rev. Ratcliff, pastor of the Littieville [sic Liddieville] Baptist Church officiating.

Besides his wife, Mrs. Jane Rolen, Columbia deceased is survived by four daughters: Mrs. Lizzie Lee, Mrs. Belle Buchane [sic Buchan], Dodson; Mrs. Aretha Warner, Columbia; and Mrs. Bertha Bratton, Clarks. Five sons: Sam, Winnfield; Henry, Littieville [sic Liddieville]; Robert, Columbia; John, Many; George, Morrow, La.

Four sisters; Mrs. Dora Sikes and Mrs. Ida Parker, Columbia; and Mrs. Ann Allen, Long [sic Lone] Cedar, La. three brothers: Z. R., Bob, and G. J., all of sikes.

Pallbearers were J. M. Jones, Ezzie Lewellyan, Wash Bratton, Sgt. J. W. James, Jr., Dewey Walters.

Interment was in New Hope cemetery under the direction of Riser Funeral Home, Columbia.
