HANCHEY JR., H.L.

Died 2 a.m. Tuesday, July 28, 1992, at West Feliciana Parish Hospital, St. Francisville. He was 79 and a resident of Grayson. He was retired with the Louisiana Department of Corrections and was a veteran of World War II. Religious services at Riser and Son Funeral Home, Columbia, at 2 p.m. Thursday, conducted by the Rev. Julius Russell and Dr. Wren Causey. Burial in Old Bethel Cemetery west of Clarks.

Survived by a son, Glen Hanchey, St. Francisville; three daughters, Betty H. Richardson, Groves, Charlene H. Brewer and Carolyn H. Pittman, both of St. Francisville; a brother, James A. McDaniel, Collinsville, Okla.; a sister, Lucie Hanchey Capbern, Baton Rouge; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Bob Simmons, Elton Pittmon, Charles Meredith, Ray Hatten, Billy Long and John Billy Hanchey. Honorary pallbearers are Reggie McDaniel, Louie Dunn, Jim Malcomb, Luna Gore and Shannon Bailey. He was a member of Old Bethel Baptist Church.
