Henry L. ``Kilroy'' Crum Jr.
NATCHEZ -- Services for Henry L. ``Kilroy'' Crum Jr., 78, of Natchez, who died Monday, May 2, 2005, will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2005, from Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with the Rev. Billy Johnson officiating. Honorary Pastor will be the late Rev. Joseph A. McConnell III.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3, 2005 at Laird Funeral Home.
Mr. Crum was born December 8, 1926 in Natchez, the son Henry L. Crum Sr. and Lucy Revvelar McMahan Crum.
Mr. Crum was a member of Pine Ridge Presbyterian Church since 1975, where he served as deacon and ruling elder. He was a devoted husband for forty nine years when his wife, Jerry Justice Crum passed away April 12, 2000. He was a loving father and grandfather. Mr. Crum served in the U.S. Army from 1950 to 1956 with an honorable discharge as Sergeant First Class. He was employed at International Paper Company from 1950 to 1986.
He was preceded in death by his parents Henry L. Crum Sr. and mother Lucy McMahan Zimmerman; his wife; two infant daughters; daughter Jerry Lee Crum; granddaughter Shannon Elizabeth Crum; brothers Charles N. Crum, Danny Crum; sister ``Ruby'' Lorraine Dean; brother-in-law Howard Justice; mother-in-law Lou Elsie Justice; father-in-law Luther Delmar Justice Sr.
He is survived by his son Howard Crum of Natchez; a daughter Jo Ann Crum of Natchez/Vidalia, La.; two grandchildren Walter Hinson of Natchez and Marci Hinson of Vidalia, La.; sisters along with their families Ann Fair of Monterey, La., Betty Fletcher of Hattiesburg, Jean Moffett of Natchez, Barbara Gayle of Covington, La., Ruthie Olds of Morristown, Tenn.; brothers along with their families James Crum of Ferriday, La., Vernon Crum of Ridgecrest, La., Kenneth Crum of Ferriday, La., Tommy Crum of Vidalia, La., Jerry Crum of Monterey, La.; double first cousins along with her family Dorothy Tuccio of Natchez; cousins with their families, Leland Sturgis of Natchez, Homer Sturgis of Lake St. John, La.; sisters-in-law along with their families Bobby Crum of Vardaman and Vivian ``Cupie'' Bell of Mossyhead, Fla.; brothers-in-law and their families Thad Justice of Eupora, Luther Delmar ``Doug'' Justice Jr. of Nicholls, Ga.; a special friend of the family Pearl Henderson of Natchez; a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, church friends, and other loyal friends.
Pallbearers will be David Crum, Patrick Crum, Robert Young, Tommy Young, Walter Ford, James Schuchs, Mike Crum and Mark Crum.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Reeves and special friend of the family, David Cupit.
In lieu of flowers family requests memorials be made to the Pine Ridge Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 208, Washington, Ms. 39190.
