HENRY M. WEBB

Henry Matthew Webb died Tuesday morning at 11:30 o'clock at the residence, 1909 Gulf Ave., Gulfport. He was 88 years of age.

Born in Jackson County, Miss., April 22, 1873, Mr. Webb had resided in Harrison County since 1903 and in Gulfport since 1919. He was a retired railroad car inspector with the IC Railroad and was formerly a member of the Odd Fellows.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Maude Webb; three sons, W. M. Webb, Charlie Webb, both of Gulfport; and Henry L. Webb, Richmond, Va.; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Porterfield, Gulfport; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one brother, Charlie Webb, Ocean Springs; and one sister, Mrs. Nora Sammons, Hattiesburg.

The funeral service was held this afternoon from the Riemann Funeral Home Chapel in Gulfport. The Rev. J. D. Aycock, pastor of Broadmoor Baptist Church, and the Rev. P. S. Dodge, pastor of Providence Baptist Church, officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.
