H. R. Jackson Sr.

H. R. Jackson Sr., 59, of 4011 Craft St., Bossier City, died at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at P&S Hospital following a sudden illness. Funeral services are pending at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City.

Mr. Jackson, a resident of Bossier City for 55 years, was a native of Pelican.

He has worked for the City of Bossier as a water plant operator and as an independent oil operator. He was a member of the International Stage Hands Union and a member of the First Christian Church of Bossier CIty.

Survivors include his widow; one son, Rickey Jackson of Bossier City; one daughter, Mrs. Rita White of Bossier CIty; two sisters, Mrs. Ella Hindsley of Bossier City and Mrs. Burdette Hunt of LaPlace; one brother, Clyde Jackson of New Orleans; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City with the Rev. Morgan Poole, pastor of the First Christian Church of Bossier City, officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
