Henry S. Rolen

Funeral services for Henry S. Rolen were held Sunday, Aug. 31, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Winnsboro First National Funeral Home.

He was a resident of Winnsboro and was 83 years of age.

Interment was in Ogden Cemetery with Dr. Randall Sledge, Rev. Woodie McGuffie, and Rev. Lee Joyner officiating.

He was a retired farmer and a member of Temple Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mable Rolen, Winnsboro; 3 daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Antley, Pineville, Mrs. Ester Halley, Monroe, and Mrs. Ruth Ingram, Winnsboro; 6 sons, Woodrow Rolen, Cotton Valley, Lloyd Rolen, Monroe, Marshal Rolen, Denver, Colo., Henry P. Rolen, Douglas Rolen, and Jerry Rolen, all of Winnsboro; 3 step-daughters, Mrs. Nellie Linder, Winnsboro, Mrs. Vonda Ford, Jonesville, and Mrs. Lorraine Parker, Baton Rouge, step-son Milo Ryan, Oxford, Miss.; 3 brothers, Robert Rolen, Winnsboro, John Rolen, Many, and George Rolen, Morrow; 3 sisters, Mrs. Aretha Warner, Winnsboro, Mrs. Bell Buchans, Jonesboro, and Mrs. Bertha Bratton, West Monroe; 32 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Kenneth Ingram, Wade Rolen, Thomas Rolen, Jackie Box, Gary Howard, Ronnold Rolen, Nathan Humphries, and Harrold Jones.
