Funeral Rites Held For Henry E. Walker Wednesday, P.M.

Henry E. Walker, 69, of Ruston, died at the Ruston hospital Tuesday night at 9:30 after a short illness. He was born in Dodson, and had been living in Ruston for the past seven years at the time of his death.

Mr. Walker had been associated with the New York Life Insurance company at St. Louis, Mo., for a number of years before his retirement seven years ago. He was well-known in the city of Ruston.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at three o'clock at his home on North Trenton street with the Rev. Louis Hoffpauir officiating, and interment under the direction of the Darby funeral home was in Greenwood cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Katie Glathary Walker of Ruston and one sister, Mrs. C. L. Shell of Dodson. Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews, among a number of relatives in Ruston.

Pallbearers were A. K. Goff, Jr., Ed Shirley, Joe Perry, J. B. Milam, Jr., Homer Warren, Tomp Raley, Judge E. L. Walker, and John P. Graham.
