CENTRAL'S NEWS BUDGET.

During the bleakness of Monday, February 10th, the soul of Mr. Jack Taunton took its flight from this world. He was a native of Coosa county; served in the civil war as a Confederate soldier, receiving a wound on the battle of Gettysburg which resulted in the loss of a leg. His remains were interred in the Union cemetery at this place. A large crowd attended the funeral services which were conducted by Rev. J. C. Butler. He leaves several children and a large number of grand children.
