Mr. Herbert C. Newsom

SHREVEPORT - Graveside services will be conducted at Centuries Memorial Park, 8801 Mansfield Road, for Mr. Herbert C. Newsom, 67 of Shreveport at 2 p.m. Friday, April 14, 1989. Arrangements are under the direction of Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Newsom passed away Wednesday, April 12, 1989 at his residence. He was a member of Asbestos Workers Union Local No. 21 for 43 years and a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Newsom of Shreveport; three daughters, Deborah Dalton of Shreveport, Sandra Lynn Flint of Springhill, Rebecca Sue Newsom of Washington D.C.; one son, Joe Max Newsom of Arlington, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Raymond Heichelbeck of Houston, Texas and Mrs. E. E. Oglethorpe of Pasadena, Texas; one brother, Max Newsom of New Orleans, La.; five grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Charles Burrow, R. E. Offutt, Ira Johnson, Willard Scott, Mike Scott, Dennis Dalton, Gary Flint and Michael Flint.
