HERBERT U. MCGINTY

Herbert U. McGinty, 64, a retired railroad conductor, died Oct. 29 in Homer.

A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. today at the Assembly of God Church in Homer, with the Rev. Donald Smith officiating.

Born Dec. 14, 1923, in Monroe, La., Mr. McGinty came to Homer from California in October to live with his daughter. He worked as a railroad conductor for 30 years until he retired due to illness.

He is survived by three daughters, Becky Diaz of Homer, Kathi Geivett of Denver, Colo., and Maylene Wagner of Mentika, Calif.; and two grandsons.

Arrangements were by the Homer Funeral Home.
