HERMAN L. MAXEY

Herman Lawson Maxey died on Wednesday, January 5 in Huntsville, Texas. Mr. Maxey was born on October 10, 1919 at Smoaks and was the son of the late Jefferson L. and Dora Wilson Maxey of Smoaks and Walterboro. He was a retired Certified Public Accountant and made his home in Trinity, Texas.

The funeral was held on Friday, January 7 in Trinity.

Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Theresa Maxey of Trinity; four sons William (Bill) Maxey of Richmond, Texas, Jerry Maxey of Arlington, Texas, Robert Maxey of Long Beach, Miss. and Michael McCall of Houston, Texas; three daughters, Judy Maxey of Jackson, Miss., Linda Beasley of Pascagoula, Miss. and Mary Barnett of Mesquite, Texas, a brother, P. J. Maxey of Walterboro and a sister, Maggie Avant of Walterboro; ten grandchildren and a number of nephews and nieces in South Carolina.
