Funeral Services For H. L. Edgington Held Last Saturday

Succumbs to Illness of Weeks at Home of Parents at Hope, Ark.

Funeral services for H. Leroy Edgington, who died at the home of his parents, wee held last Saturday afternoon at four o'clock at the Christian Church and interment made in the Rosehill Cemetery at Hope, Ark., conducted by the Rev. Holt, pastor of the Christian Church, assisted by the Baptist pastor of that city.

Mr. Edgington died Friday, October 26th following an illness of several weeks. He was a member of the Christian Church and is survived by his widow, who before her marriage was Miss Mary D. McCoy of this city, three children, Olive Nell, Bobby Cagle, and Hunter Leroy, father and mother, Mrs. M. E. Edginton, Hope, Ark., two brothers, Vernon Edgington, Smackover, Ark., and Cecil Edgington, Hope, Ark.

The deceased was born in Gurdon, Ark., later moving with his parents to Hope. He came to Louisiana to work at the age of twenty-three and was well known here being at different times employed by the local printing offices as shop foreman.

Pallbearers at the funeral were high school classmates of Mr. Edgington and with whom he graduated.
