TAYLOR, HERMAN ROY

Died 4 p.m. Monday, Aug. 9, 1993, at Medical Center of Baton Rouge. He was 71, a native of Centreville, Miss., and a resident of Baton Rouge. He was retired from Exxon Co. USA and Maison Blanche Department Store. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. Visiting was held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Visiting at the funeral home chapel, 11 a.m. until religious services at 3 p.m. Thursday, conducted by the Rev. Milford Walters. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park.

Survived by wife, Dorothy Frost Taylor, Baton Rouge; stepmother, Vernice Marcantel Taylor, Baton Rouge; a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy T. and Simon ``Jim'' Wagenaar, Baton Rouge; a brother, Charles Byrne Taylor Sr., San Antonio, Texas; two aunts, Hazel Finley and Ruth Allman, both of Houston; and an uncle, C.P. Byrne, Houston. Preceded in death by parents, Herman and Bennie Byrne Taylor; a sister, Mrs. Glen P. (Nell) Blanchard; and a brother, Robert Warren Taylor.

Pallbearers will be Bobby, Rusty and David Taylor, Luther Perkins, Gene Mitchell and Stan Easley. Honorary pallbearers are deacons of Winbourne Avenue Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. Donations may be made to American Heart Association of La.or American Diabetes Association Inc.
