Hilda Pauline Collins,73, of Jena, passed from this life on Monday, February 22, 2016, at her residence.
She was born January 2, 1943 in Lake Charles. Hilda was a store manager. Graveside services were held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 24, in Hurricane Creek Cemetery with Rev. Tommie Haley officiating. Interment followed under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton Roscoe Autry and Vivian Alene Foster Rachal; step-father, Herbert Lee Rachal; daughter, Teresa Ann Ford; and son, Joe Clint Collins.
Survivors include one son, James Capps and wife Ilene; sisters, JoAnn Chladek of Jena, and Velma Rachal of Hollow Rock, TN; grandson, Jeremy Capps and wife April Dawn; and great grandchildren, Isis Ilene Capps, Clint Louis Capps, and Marilyn Isabelle “Bella” Capps.
Pallbearers were Thomas Morgan, Robert Roberts, Joseph Chladek, Frankie Morris, and Rick McGuffee.

Graveside services for Hilda Pauline Collins will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Hurricane Creek Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Haley officiating. Interment will follow in the Hurricane Creek Cemetery under the directions of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena. The family asks that visitation be observed on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 from 5 until 9 pm and from 8am until10am Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Collins, 73, of Jena was born on January 2, 1943 in Lake Charles, La. and passed from this life on Monday, February 22, 2016 at her residence. She was a store manager.
Those left to cherish her memory include, son, James Capps and wife Ilene; sisters, JoAnn Chladek of Jena and Velma Rachel of Hollow Rock, TN; grandson, Jeremy Capps and wife April Dawn Capps; great grandchildren, Isis Ilene Capps, Clint Louis Capps and Marilynn Isabelle Bella Capps.
