Hilda McKey

Hilda W. McKey, 91, of Liberty, MS, she departed this world for her heavenly home on November 21, 2011 at Wilkinson County Senior Care in Centreville, MS.

Mrs. McKey was born April 16, 1920 to Fred and Eliza Whittington.

Mrs. McKey was a resident of Wilkinson County Senior Care in Centreville, MS at the time of her death. She was a homemaker caring for a large family whom she loved dearly.

Mrs. McKey was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Eliza Whittington; her first husband, Clinton R. Hathaway; her second husband, Jack McKey; one son, Clint Hathaway; one stepson, Ivie L. McKey; her sisters, C-Belle Forman, Dixie Duck, Monell Smith, Gladys Brumfield Robertson, Virginia Baker and Vera Whittington; her brothers, Kelly, Russell, Soule, Felix, Paul, Alton and Morris Whittington.

Survivors include her sister, Evelyn Hutchinson of Hammond, LA; one daughter, Peggy Hathaway Rushing; four sons, James Hathaway, Jack McKey Jr., Jerry McKey and wife, Frances and Terry McKey; two stepdaughters, Mavis Forman and Norma Jean Etheridge and husband, Willie J.; two stepson[s], Bobby Joe McKey and wife, Penny and Roy McKey and wife, Sarah. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation was Tuesday, November 22, 2011 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Plainview Church of God of Prophecy in Liberty and continued today, Wednesday, November 23, 2011 from 9:00 AM until services at 11:00 AM at the church. Burial was at the church cemetery. Rev. Earnest Whittington did officiate.

Pallbearers were her grandsons.

Honorary pallbearers were her extended family grandchildren.
