Hines Reginald Austin

Hines Reginald Austin, 71, of Jacksonville, died at 9:15 p.m. Saturday in a Jacksonville hospital after a brief illness.

The funeral was to be at 2 p.m. Monday in Thompson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. H. M. Ward officiating. Burial was to be in Resthaven Memorial Park.

Mr. Austin had lived in Jacksonville most of his life. He was a retired iron ore crusher foreman.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ruby Austin of Jacksonville; one son Reginald O. Austin, of Fontana, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Jerry Anderson of Jacksonville; one brother, Lafayette Austin of Gallatin; two sisters, Mrs. Verna Baker of Jacksonville, and Mrs. Zelma Ferguson of Baton Rouge, La.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers include Leon Garner, Bruce Westbrook, D. L. Haberle, Coyle Oden, Lacy House, and Ray Patton.
