Homer Womack

WOMACK, Homer ``Mac,'' 86, of Dover and formerly of Lutz, died October 14, 2004. He was born in Winnsboro, La., and came to Tampa after serving in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He served 30 months in the South Pacific. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and served as a deacon at fellowship until poor health caused him to retire.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jerry Womack; daughter, Kathy Sue Diers; five grandchildren, Kristin Pontious (Scott), Mark Diers (Sunshine), Wesley Diers, Jennifer Denton (Tim) and Robin Diers; and four great-grandchildren, Austin Pontious, Kylie Pontious, Colby Diers and Sierra Diers.

Family and friends will gather 7-9 p.m. today at Garden of Memories Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Fellowship Baptist Church 13515 N. U.S. Highway 301, Thonotosassa. Interment will follow at a later date in Florida National Cemetery.
