Homer Hutchinson
Homer Hutchinson, 76, of Carthage, died March 27, 2003, at his home.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. until services at 1 p.m. Saturday at Wilcox Funeral Home in Carthage. A separate service will be held 1 p.m. Sunday at Harry McNeely Funeral Home in Hammond, La., with burial in the Hutchinson Family Cemetery in Tickfaw, La.
Mr. Hutchinson was born in Smithdale, the son of the Rev. Andrew and Sadie Hutchinson.
He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Carthage and was a retired oilfield worker. He also was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Bob Hutchinson; four brothers, L.D., Royce, Murphy and Cecil Hutchinson; and two sisters, Winnie Distefano and Ruby Erwin.
Survivors include his wife, Luiza Hutchinson of Carthage; two daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Frank Boyd of Baton Rouge, La., and Debbie and Hugh Kelly of Hammond; four brothers, Chester Hutchinson of Port Arthur, Texas, Herman Hutchinson of New Johnsonville, Tenn, Rufus ``Bud'' Hutchinson of Hammond and Charles Hutchinson of Ponchatoula, La., and four sisters, Lois Bentivegna of Tickfaw, Ruth Carter of Kentwood, La., Christine Rainey of Walker, La., and Jewel Spence of Houston, Texas.
