Homer Pepper
Homer Pepper, 100, of Laurel, died Thursday, August 4, 2011 at his daughter's residence. Funeral services will be held at 10 am Saturday, August 6, 2011 at Bethlehem Baptist Church. Rev. Cary Kimbrell will officiate.
Mr. Pepper worked as a driller with Exter Drilling Company prior to retirement and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Rush Pepper; two sons, Kenneth Ball of Hattiesburg and Sammy Ball of Laurel; daughter, Linda Singley of Hattiesburg; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and one sister, Elma Nickleson of Monroe, LA.
Visitation will be held from 9 am until the time of service Saturday at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Jones County. Memory Chapel of Laurel is in charge of the arrangements. Additional services will be held in Winnfield, Louisiana. Visitation will be held at 1 pm Sunday, August 7 at Southern Funeral Home in Winnfield with a graveside service to follow at 2:30 pm at Fellowship Cemetery in Sikes, LA.
