Mrs. Honor Corrine Slider, 81, of Greene County, Miss., died Sept. 1, 2007, in Greene County. Mrs. Slider was born Nov. 29, 1925, in Laurel, Miss. She had been a resident of Jackson County for many years, and was a member of Magnolia Springs Assembly of God Church in Hurley, Miss. She was an accomplished musician serving as a Concert Pianist, a Public School Teacher, Church Pianist and Bible Teacher. Her greatest joy was being a loving wife, mother and homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver C. and Sarah Ward and her late husband, Donald S. Slider.
Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-law, Rev. Don (Martha) Slider of McGee, Miss. and Bill Slider of Greene County, Miss.; two daughters and son-in-law, Diane (Sandy) Moore of Hartwell, Ga., and Grace Wagner of Tucson, Ariz., numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
The funeral service was held Monday, Sept. 3, 2007, at 11 a.m. from Magnolia Springs Assembly of God Church with Rev. Charles Clary officiating.
Burial followed at Magnolia Springs Cemetery in Hurley.
