Horace Edward Spradley
Horace Edward Spradley, 76, 117 Wen Mar, Pass Christian, former owner of Spradley Motors and Oldsmobile dealer of Pass Christian, died Monday at 9 p.m. at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Gulfport where he had been a patient for three years.
He was born April 21, 1897, in Fountainbleu [sic], son of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Spradley and a veteran of World War I, serving with the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Pass Christian United Methodist Church and the Maccabees.
Mr. Spradley is survived by his wife, Mrs. Irma Toche Spradley, Pass Christian; two daughters, Mrs. Earl (Vera) Sellier, DeLisle; and Mrs. Elwood (Doris) Abbley, Pass Christian; one stepson, Frank Szymanski; one sister, Mrs. W. A. Barksdale, Pass Christian; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Riemann Funeral Home in Long Beach this evening after 6:30 o'clock.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock from the Long Beach funeral home chapel with the Rev. Herbert Beasley, pastor of the Pass Christian United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Gulfport.
